Take a small amount of ghee / Bramhi ghee ( Medicated ) and warm it.

With the help of a dropper, put two to three drops of warm ghee in each nostril before going to bed.

Take a tsp of powdered fenugreek in water and drink it before going to bed.

Take crushed ginger in 1 cup of water and heat the mixture till it boils.

Once it is mixed, switch off the flame and cover the mixture for five minutes to steep.
 

Strain it, add some honey drink.

It is the glorious occasion that is not restricted to one day,
but extended to a five-day celebration. All through these five days,
people are in a festive mood. Adding to the festivity is the colourful
display of lights.

Return of Shri Ram To Ayodhyaa The most famous
legend behind the celebrations of Diwali is about the prince of
Ayodhya Nagri - Lord Shri Ram.
The king of Lanka, Ravana, kidnapped Ram's wife - Sita from the
jungle, where they were staying as per the instructions of King Dashratha,
father of Lord Ram.
In order to freed Sita from Ravana's custody, Ram attacked him.
This was followed by a war, in which, Ram defeated Ravan and
released Sita from his custody. On the arrival of Lord Ram along
with his wife Sita, people of Ayodhya decorated their homes as
well as the city of Ayodhyaa by lighting tiny diyas all over, in
order to welcome their beloved prince Shri Ram and Devi Sita.

Ayurvedic Soup

Ayurvedic #Soup

Ingredients: 

2 tbsp #ghee or #coconut oil
2 tsp #cumin seeds
1 tsp #coriander seeds
½ knob of #ginger, #finely chopped
1 red #onion, finely chopped
1 clove of #garlic, crushed or finely #chopped
3 cups #pumpkin, cut into small cubes
2 medium #zucchinis, finely chopped
2 cups finely chopped #celery
1 handful green #beans, chopped into small pieces
1 medium piece of #broccoli, chopped into small pieces
1 1/2 litres of water
2 tsp sea #salt
A few cracks of black #pepper to taste
1 cup freshly chopped #coriander

Method:

Warm #ghee or #coconutoil in a saucepan on medium heat, then add dry spices — #cumin, #coriander and #fennel seeds. Stir to lightly toast the spices for 2-3 minutes or until they start to sizzle.
Add fresh #ginger, red #onion, #garlic and #turmeric powder. Sauté for 2-3 minutes until the onion becomes soft.
Add #pumpkin, #zucchini, #celery, green #beans and #broccoli. Stir and pour 1 1/2 litres of boiling water from the kettle into the pot and cook on medium heat for approx 25 minutes until the #pumpkin is soft and the veggies are cooked.
Turn off heat, add sea salt, black pepper and a small handful of fresh coriander. Serve in your favourite soup bowl with garnish of fresh coriander.

Panchakarma or the "five actions" are the #therapeutic means of eliminating impurities from the body. Ancient Ways To Improve Digestion

                            Drinking Water From Copper Cup


Drinking water from a copper cup upon waking is believed to help increase agni (digestive fire ) in addition to reducing internal acidity and promoting healthy elimination of wastes.
Fill the copper cup with filtered water and cover it, before you go to sleep and then drink it as soon as you wake up in the morning. It strengthening your digestion power.

                                       Ginger & Lemon



If you have sluggish digestion, ginger and lemon are a great combination for increasing agni. Sip on ginger and lemon tea throughout the day, and eat a piece of fresh ginger with lemon before meals.
If your agni is overactive – Pitta types – ginger and lemon may be too stimulating to your already burning fire. You may benefit more from enhancing your meals with pomegranate chutney – a spice believed to aid digestion without further aggravating Pitta.

1. Vata is dry and airy. You might find yourself “up” and stimulated. Windy. Oil helps tether you back to earth. Put sesame oil, or olive oil, on your back and on your feet. While massaging the oil into your feet, put pressure in the center right under the ball of the toes (Can be calming during a panic attack.) You can also oil and massage the top of your head, or your forehead and temples to settle the monkey mind.

2. Avoid sugar, caffeine, carbonation, cold/raw or frozen foods when you are trying to pacify vata. Vata likes salt, sour, sweet, oily and warm. Warm soups are nice! A substancial breakfast, oatmeal, for instance is good for settling anxiety. Sweet fruits are good. Drink warm water instead of ice water. 

3. Sit and come forward onto your lap. Bend at the hips so your weight is not being carrying by your back. Do child’s pose. Stand and let your upper body hang from the hips. Downward facing dog. Forward bends settle anxiety. Hold poses longer when trying to pacify vata. Flowing yoga classes are not good for vata.
 
4. Drink warm milk with honey and saffron. Put a hot water bottle on your feet. Take a warm bath. Cold aggravates vata, warm pacifies it.All of these are helpful things to do at night before bed, so that vata aggravation doesn’t keep you up at night as it can tend to do!

               
5. Do yogic breathing ( Pranayama). Taking time each day to breathe helps settle your nervous system. Which is exactly what we need to do! There are many types of yogic breathing, but my favorite for anxiety is alternate nostril breathing. This incorporates the right and left brain settling the aggravation and smoothing them into sync. Meditating, eating, exercising at the same times from one day to the next, can have immeasurable good effects on health. Wake up and go to sleep at the same time each day. If routine is all you change, you will feel a difference in mood and overall health.
